Revisions

One round is included in every project — a change you want to work already agreed.

Fixing our own mistakes is not a revision. If we got something wrong, missed something we said we would check, or delivered something other than what was agreed, we put it right at no charge, and it does not count against your round.

Further rounds are $25/hour, or from 30% of what you actually paid, whichever is higher. The percentage comes off the price you were invoiced, not the figure before the launch discount.

Editing, and rewriting

Editing means fixing and tightening what is already there. Heavy rewriting — adding what was not in your text, or restructuring it — is a different job, at two to three times the editing rate. If your text needs that rather than editing, we say so before starting, rather than doing it and charging for it afterwards.

Timing

Standard turnaround is listed beside each service on the pricing page.

In a hurry? Half the usual time is +50%. Within 48 clock hours, evenings and weekends included, is +100%. We do not take same-day work.

Whether we can go faster depends on the size of the job and what is already booked. A price from the estimator is not a promise that the deadline can be met — we confirm that before anything starts.

The clock starts when payment and the final files are both in, not when you first write. If your material arrives in pieces, it starts when the last piece does.

Paying

Prices are in US dollars. The final price depends on length, difficulty and deadline, and is agreed in writing before work starts.

The $24 fact-check is paid in full up front. Larger projects are half up front, half on delivery.

How the money moves is agreed in writing with the quote, before any work starts. We will tell you which methods we can take, and what the transfer costs on your side. We never handle or store your card details.

Website packages: what is included is agreed in the written quote. You supply the text; we design, build and deploy it. Domain costs are yours.

Hourly work

Hourly work is quoted with a cap you agree first. Takes less, you pay less. Takes more, that is on us — unless you ask in writing for the scope to be widened, which we quote separately. Every delivery comes with the hours logged, so you can see where the time went.

Choosing the crew

Refunds and cancellations

• You change your mind before we start. Nothing to pay. Anything already paid is refunded in full.
• You change your mind after we start. You pay for what is done, with a minimum of 30%, and we hand over everything finished so far, notes included.
• We cannot do the job to our own standard. We stop and tell you. You pay only for the finished part; the rest is refunded.
• The delivered work is not right. If we made a mistake, or missed something we agreed to check, we put it right at no charge — it does not use your included revision. If we cannot put it right, we will agree a fair reduction or a refund.

To ask for any of these, just email us. Refunds go back the way you paid, usually within five working days.
