How we work

Where AI comes in, what happens to your material, and what to expect from start to finish.

The AI crew, and who runs it

AI models do the legwork: searching, sorting, first drafts, and checking each other’s work. The pig runs the project: decides who does what, weighs it when the models disagree, sends work back when it isn’t right, and signs off on every page. If something couldn’t be confirmed, the delivery says so.

Your material, your rules

  • Confidential? Say so before you send the material, and ask about an offline local model: then no cloud AI sees it. Email itself still passes through Gmail, so for material that must stay off the cloud entirely, we agree first on how you send it. Offline work is slower and not every project suits it; we will tell you honestly before we start.
  • Choose your crew. Keep any provider out (no OpenAI, say, or no Anthropic), or name the models you want. Extra model access is charged at what we actually pay, no markup.
  • By default, everything goes to the crew. Your emails and your material are shared with the cloud AI models we work with, so they can help from the first message. They aren’t a tool we switch on for your job; they’re the crew we work with every day. We talk about the work, not about you, and we never bring it up with anyone else without your permission. Want your project kept apart from everything else? Ask, and it gets its own separate workspace.
  • Your work stays yours. Beyond the AI services that help us do the work, we never show, share or publish it, or name you as a client, without your written permission. If you agree to be an example, you see the draft first. The files you send are deleted within 30 days of delivery, or sooner if you ask. We keep the work log and what we delivered, so a repeat job can follow the same method; ask and we delete those too.

Whatever the line-up, the pig runs the project and signs off on the result.

From brief to delivery

  1. You send the question, the draft or the pile of material, and tell us who it is for.
  2. We read your material first, then reply with a written quote: scope, format, price and deadline. If it isn’t something we can do well, we say so instead, at no charge.
  3. We do the work. Questions come to you in writing, never as a surprise call.
  4. You get the finished piece, plus a note on what we checked and what we couldn’t confirm.
  5. One round of revisions is included.

If we have to stop. If, once work has started, it turns out we can’t deliver to the standard we promised, we stop and tell you straight away. You get everything done so far and pay only for that part; anything you paid for the rest is refunded.

A record of every step

Every project keeps a full work log, like a changelog: what was done, by whom (the pig or which model), what changed, and why. If anything goes wrong, we can trace it to the exact step it came in.

You can have a copy of the log on request. We keep our own copy as the record of the work, unless you ask us to delete it.

Is this a fit?

GOOD FIT
  • You need Chinese-language sources found, read or checked.
  • You have Chinese text, often AI-written, that doesn't sound right.
  • You have material that needs to become a clear document.
  • You are a researcher who wants a simple, bilingual personal site.
NOT A GOOD FIT
  • You need phone or video calls to work together.
  • You need legal, medical or financial advice, or a certified translation.
  • You need a guarantee that no AI was used anywhere.
  • You want coursework or a thesis rewritten to get past plagiarism or AI detectors. We don’t do that.
  • You need it done today.
