Research & fact-checking
A question answered from Chinese-language sources, or a document checked claim by claim. Delivered as a report where every claim points to its source.
Chinese editing & review
For Chinese you already have — AI-generated, translated or localized, or built on sources — and aren’t sure holds up. An independent second pass. For AI-generated text: filler and boilerplate cut down to what matters (a 10,000-character draft can often become a few thousand, though length is never the goal: every argument and piece of evidence stays), made natural for Chinese readers, with anything the machine got wrong flagged. Returned with tracked changes. Three tiers, by how much work the text needs: $20 for a light pass, $30 when the Chinese has to be reworked, $45 when claims have to be checked against sources. Report design
Notes and data turned into a clean document. One chart per point, each with a one-line reading of what it means.
Academic websites
A personal site for a researcher or graduate student: bilingual, fast, and deployable on free hosting. Applying to grad school? The one-page student site covers what supervisors look for first. Domain costs are yours.
- Every project includes one round of revisions. Further rounds are $25/hour, or from 30% of the original fee.
- Editing means fixing and tightening what is there. Heavy rewriting — adding what was not in your text, or restructuring it — is a different job, at two to three times the editing rate.
- Hourly work is quoted with a cap. Takes less, you pay less. Takes more, that is on us, unless you ask in writing for the scope to be widened.
- Need it sooner? Half the usual turnaround is +50%; within 48 hours is +100%. We do not take same-day work. Turnaround starts when payment and the final files are both in.
- Changed your mind, or not happy with what you got? See Refunds and cancellations below.
- Prices are in US dollars. Final price depends on length, difficulty and deadline, and is agreed in writing before work starts.
- The $24 fact-check is paid in full up front. Larger projects: half up front, half on delivery.
- Direct projects are invoiced in US dollars through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account — the invoice takes a card. Prefer to hire through a platform? We are also on Upwork.
- Want particular AI models used, or kept out? See Choose your crew. Extra model access is charged at cost.
Refunds and cancellations
- Before we start. Cancel any time before work begins and you pay nothing. Anything already paid is refunded in full.
- After we start. You pay for what is done, with a minimum of 30%, and we hand over everything finished so far, including the notes.
- If we cannot do the job to our own standard. We stop and tell you. You pay only for the finished part; the rest is refunded.
- If the delivered work is not right. One round of revisions is included. If it is still not right, tell us what is wrong and we will agree a fair reduction or a refund.
To ask for any of these, just email us. Refunds go back the way you paid, usually within five working days.
Fact-check one Chinese article
- You send one Chinese-language article, up to 2,000 characters.
- We check every factual claim in it against sources.
- You get each claim marked confirmed, contradicted or unverifiable, with the source we checked it against.
